IC Information;
Personality; Tony is a very intuitive person with an active imagination and love for life. She's an Itroverted, iNtuitive, Thinking Perceiver-- INTP -- with both Extroverted and Feeling tendencies thanks to her home life. As such she's insightful, good at reading people because she pays close attention to them, but she needs more time and experience before she'll be more confident with that. She's kind of young still, but carries herself with more maturity than most people her age.
*Note: Despite being an INTP she does have extroverted tendencies as a result of growing up in a very big family. This is explained further below.
She likes to please others and tries to see at least a little bit of good in every person. She's also a strong minded woman with a strong set of moral values and and open mind. You won't see much of her temper but she does have one. She usually strives to be easy to get along with. Thankfully she also has her father's level head and she knows how to use it. She's fiercely loyal to the ones that she loves. Don't seriously mess with them unless you want to get on her bad side.
Tony is the second born of nine children, has a mother with extroverted tendencies, and came up in a loving environment where it was perfectly acceptable and encouraged to be open and openly affectionate. Thanks to growing up in such an environment (along with the experiences she underwent outside of the household) she's deviated from the path of a hardcore INTP and sometimes displays Feeler traits (like an INFP) instead of Thinking ones. This accounts for her intuition about others feelings, though this was something that she learned instead of it being a natural inclination. As such she does sometimes struggle with reading more closed off personality types. She can seem more reserved when getting to know new people until she feels comfortable with their limits. She feeds off of the moods and atmospheres that are immediately affecting her. If someone is outgoing and upbeat when addressing her then she’ll go right along with them. If someone is being flirtatious then she'll usually play along, especially if they're cute, single guys, or someone close to her joking around. She's very flexible and open minded with a general "live-and-let-live" attitude to life, and it's that people-pleasing urge of hers that makes her try to adapt to her current social environment as well.
When she’s in mixed company her default is to stick to whoever is willing to converse at the time, or sometimes to go do her own thing (read a book, listen to music, work on a project, do chores, whatever is available) if everyone else is busy. She’s comfortable in most situations but when things are in disarray she tends to get restless. She doesn't like having a messy environment and likes open spaces as opposed to tiny quarters. It should be noted, however, that she's not afraid of tight spaces or claustrophobic, she just prefers to have room to move freely.
As an introvert Tony has a habit of internalizing everything (problems, puzzles, thoughts), putting herself in other people’s shoes and instinctively trying to relate to situations and to others to get along better with them or resolve problems. She and her twin sister both follow the path of logic when dealing with everyday things like safety or work; however, in social situations Tony will trust her feelings and her intuition over cold hard logic or facts. It usually serves her well but sometimes leads her into trouble if someone knows how to play that to their advantage, since Tony prefers to give people the benefit of the doubt. She's very even-tempered and laid back but she has some triggers that give her a short fuse.
For the most part she’s pretty positive and outgoing. Being an introvert she does need to step back from time to time and “recharge” by herself or with a very small group. Being around a lot of others is fun, but too much of it sometimes wears her out. First to arrive and yet seldom ever the last one to leave a party, she’s also rarely the first to go.
Tony is very intelligent. Most of that intelligence is street-smart but she’s actually very well educated as well, both from school and one of her hobbies-- reading. She was shy at school as a youngster and paid close attention in class. Her favorite subject was history (though pardon the mundane, because she sucks at it, especially dates).
With her love for challenges and the discipline she picked up from her father's training she has the mind of a tactician rather than a front-line type fighter. She’s the sort of person that doesn’t dive in without a backup plan. She relies on her wits and thinks well on her feet. In a tight spot or sticky situation very seldom does Tony need more than a few moments to come up with a plan. Like most people she operates best when she has an understanding of her surroundings and what she’s working with, but she can be counted on to come up with a plan of escape or defense if improvising proves necessary. The downside to having such an actively analytical mind, of course, is that she can sometimes OVER THINK a situation. There are times when this thinking preference can easily create a mountain out of a simple ant hill (That in specific is explained more along with her insecurities.). It's also possible for Tony to get stressed and mentally burned out from overload. If she's left alone with a problem that she can't solve (something work related, social, or a physical obstacle) she'll spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to pick it apart and FIND a solution. You can tell when something is bugging her like this by the fact that she drinks a lot more coffee and often ends up neglecting sleep unintentionally (she just gets completely swept up in whatever is gnawing at her). Sometimes she talks out loud to herself when she's thinking. She also has a few particular ticks like tapping her foot, bouncing her knee, tweaking her hair, or sometimes nibbling lightly on something (a pen, candy cane, celery stick, whatever is handy honestly) even though she normally thinks it's a gross habit to chew on inedible objects. It's a constant conscious effort to put a cap on it. Unlike most INTP's Tony prefers to see her projects through to the end before moving on to the next, but is prone to multitasking with projects as well. In particular her over thinking is a real pitfall for her mentally.
Normally she doesn't think much of trivial things or small issues. By nature she can shrug off her own problems with relative ease and doesn't have a problem discussing things openly with people she's close to, MOSTLY. There are times when the body language or behavior of those around her that gets her thinking that they're upset with her. Normally that's not a big deal, she'll try to address the problem directly instead of shying away from it (though if she doesn't want to push too hard that might entail simply asking the other party if things are alright with them). Other times (like when she has difficulty reading someone) she's not sure how to approach the subject and old worries get a hold of her. She'll worry over it until something finally gives, and that's seldom ever pretty.
She loves to share with others and enjoys opening up and being opened up to, but hates having her privacy invaded uninvited and is quick to anger over things like her journal/diary being taken and read. She doesn't seem to mind if she's overheard very much, though. She'd be much more inclined to share if the person would just ASK instead of snooping.
Anger, betrayal, and fear can sometimes get the better of her from time to time, and she doesn't exactly half ass it when she's finally pushed enough to lash out. She forgives minor grievances easily while breeches of trust are taken much more seriously and are approached with disbelief unless there's solid evidence that there wasn't a "good reason" for it. Grief seems to help her focus, and other than something terrifying or someone's act of betrayal it takes a lot to truly shock her. With that having been said it's important to note that Tony also struggles with walking away from bad relationships (a typical trait for INTP's and to make matters worse it seems like a trait that she got from her mother's side of the family, too). Short of being threatened, abused, or maliciously lied to she won't readily give up on a person be they friend, significant other, and especially immediate family. Both her maternal grandfather by blood and her maternal step-grandfather were alcoholics, and abusive. Both men are estranged from the family-- or were until recently. After what they both put her grandmother and mother through none of the four oldest children will get near alcohol and they all have extremely high standards on how a respectful relationship should work. They had that lesson taught to them from as early an age as possible and their parents didn't try to sugar coat their reasons for these beliefs, not more than necessary at least. Tony's temper is most easily set off when she sees someone picking on, abusing, or otherwise discriminating against... well, ANYONE.
She has good hand-eye coordination, enjoys basketball (she didn't play on any teams), her martial arts training while it lasted, singing, reading, and dancing (now THAT she did take lessons for, ballroom). Though she enjoys a lot of other activities those would probably be the ones you'd actually call hobbies-- or at least her favorites.
She's short, standing only at 5'1", and she lacks in upper body strength like most women do, maybe not as much as most, but still. She relies on her wits and smaller size to move quickly and outsmart opponents, using their own momentum to her advantage when she can. Whatever residual bits of childhood insecurities are lurking about are definitely the most persistent of the bunch. It's detailed in the background section but Tony certainly wasn't always the outgoing young woman she is now. Maybe if she'd been an only child things would have turned out differently (not that she's ever seriously considered it). She always seemed to ask the "weird" questions in class, the "wrong" questions at the wrong times. Classmates thought she was strange and her quiet demeanor meant that she became a target for bullying. Her twin-- Meilin --standing up for her was what convinced Tony that she needed to get stronger, be more brave, at least it did once she was a little older and big enough to understand any of it. That uncertainty around closed off people goes back to her days in school when one wrong look could get the kids to teasing her for days. Of course it's nothing so silly now, there aren't a lot of grown bullies wandering around back home and she KNOWS how to handle the ones that are openly mean, it's more worry that she'll offend someone than anything. Funnily enough she sometimes finds herself drawn to the people that seem like outcasts and loners, and why not? She used to be one, her twin sister IS one, one of her best friends back home is too. It's probably wrong and she wouldn't ever call it pity, but she has an undeniable urge to try to befriend them for better or for worse.
On a minor note: Even though she's learned to get over it a bit with age her biggest physical insecurity has always been the fact that she's small in the chest. She enjoys playing around but she's not exactly built for sports like football or things that require some kind of weight to throw around or ground her.
For humor characters would probably do well to keep it clean around Tony. While she doesn’t mind profanity, bathroom humor and sex jokes don’t do a thing for her. She likes dry wit and sarcasm, as that is her parents’ humor of choice. Puns can earn a laugh, as long as they aren’t a normal part of your repertoire. As for pranks (Oh dear God.), well, she does enjoy pulling them herself from time to time, and she has been known to get pulled into a prank war with her brother, Kouji, and also later on with Orion, one of her best friends. She also uses pranks as a means of revenge. Just ask Kouji about the pink buzz cut incident… or don’t, it’s your choice.
All that said, family and friends mean the world to her, enough so that I really considered the House of Freya for her instead of Freyr, but since they're technically sibling houses I think that it still fits.
Tony was the first born of a set of identical twin girls. They were the second and third children born to their parents and have one older brother (four years their senior), a younger sister (six years their younger), and quintuplet siblings (three boys and two girls, eight years their younger). She's closest to her twin sister (Meilin) and older brother (Kouji), but has a very good relationship with their younger sister, Sen. She loves being a big sister to the quints but at the age of five they can be exhausting, especially with Kenji for a ringleader (he's adventurous and pretty fearless for a kid). Living at home means she helps babysit a lot.
In terms of relationships with others she believes that her place as a friend is to be support, as a lover to be able to support and defend, as an older sister or eventually a parent to protect and teach while knowing when to step back, and as a daughter and younger sister toget under her big brother's skin just be herself and try to heed the advice and lessons that her elders have to offer.
World Info; Not much to say here. Tony comes from a modern day Earth.
Background; Tony and her siblings were all born to a Chinese father and African-American mother. They met in the States and due to the circumstances at the time (an abusive step-father, recently widowed) their parents didn't waste a chance to get out on their own. Their parents had help from the paternal side of the family and settled into the Chinatown in Brooklyn, New York. They were one of the few families that spoke Mandarin rather than Cantonese. Tony and her siblings all grew up with English as their first language, Mandarin as their second, and learned what they needed to of Cantonese. It's much easier at present with Mandarin becoming the new dominant language.
Kouji was first born. Their mother was barely eighteen when she had him and the girls were two (nearly three) years after that. To this day Kouji and Meilin (her twin sister) are the siblings that Tony is closest to because of the slightness of their age difference. Kouji is generally your typical older brother, albeit he was more respectful than most American teenagers, but it never stopped him from picking on his sister-- playfully of course. It all started when Tony got curious with the washing machine and some skittles. She was five. She put them in with Kouji's uniform thinking it might make his clothes come out Tye-dye.
It didn't.
Kouji was less than amused. Ever since then she's been fair game. He swipes her diary even to this day (though now she's gotten used to it and is better at hiding it and executing punishment), teased her about her crushes, dunks her at the pool, and isn't above dumping her in a clean garbage bin or barrel or something of the sort when she "harps". It's not unwarranted, though, she certainly likes teasing him as well-- rather mercilessly at that --about his own crush. Her payback is more playful and devious, unfortunately for him, something she takes after their mother in while he takes after their father. The two bicker and argue (no, really, there's a lot of yelling in Mandarin and chasing one another around the house involved, sometimes with little to no regard to whose present to witness it) but they have a lot in common and they also have a strong bond. When she was younger he'd sometimes help her sneak out so they could hit the town, though there were a few instances when blackmail had to be involved at first. He's protective over her, less apparently so after she came out of her shell at around thirteen years old. She trusts him implicitly, even with her life.
Meilin and Tony are very good at reading one another, and they're also very close as sisters and as twins. Meilin typically lets her guard down the most around Tony and Kouji and Tony would never do anything to betray that trust. For Meilin alone she would do anything, and that feeling seems mutual. It's not even a "twin" thing. The reason for it is simpler than that. You probably wouldn't guess it by seeing Meilin but she's actually the extroverted one. When they were in school and Tony was going through her shy phase it was Meilin that usually ended up encouraging her (naturally, since they were in the same grade she was just there more than Kouji could be). Because of Meilin's quiet and serious nature, as well as her extroverted tendency to lash outwards when she was angry the other kids ended up spreading all kinds of rumors about the twins, everything from how Tony was a wuss and wouldn't stand up for herself to how Meilin was like an attack dog, even absolutely juvenile things like calling the girls weird. It took a long time for them to find other kids that wanted to give them a chance and get to know them. The two grew pretty close out of necessity, becoming each others' best friend. Tony didn't want to hold a grudge over it, though, and Meilin seemed to follow suit (though she remains distrusting of others). They made a handful of friends in middle school that have stuck with them since. That's about the time that Tony began to branch out and try to socialize properly as well as stand up for herself. Nothing else eventful really happened until the girls were fifteen.
Meilin had tried out for and made a gymnastics team at their high school. She'd taken lessons in middle school once sort of on a whim of their mother's and decided later that she'd like to continue it, if just to help her with her flexibility and martial arts a little more. She got into an altercation with another girl on the team when she found out that the girl was giving Tony a hard time, and Meilin was consequently kicked off the team and shunned by the girls. Tony beat herself up about it for months and determined that she needed to develop thicker skin still so that others wouldn't end up getting dragged through the mud for her sake.
It should also be noted that their father also began teaching the girls martial arts about the time that they were ten. Both twins continued learning from him until their late teens. Meilin still practices it daily but Tony moved on to other hobbies as already mentioned above. She dabbled in teaching herself how to play guitar but didn't stick to it, instead she began taking ballroom dance lessons when she was seventeen. She's currently preparing for college. Her planned major is a toss up between the computer field and musical arts.

[ Oh this one is easy to figure out. You have a new arrival making a video post, hoping to reach whatever Powers That Be in this place or her own world. Yes, she might get responses from other "residents", but she's sure as hell going to try anyway.
Her expression is deceptively neutral, contrary to the surprise of it all. It takes a lot to shock her but she'd damn well say THIS QUALIFIED. ]
So let me get this straight. I-- we've --been taken from our homes and brought to this... [ A glance around, just to be sure that she's still seeing things. She returns her view to the camera with an uncertain smile. ] ... place. I'm still not really clear on exactly what we're supposed to do, and personally I'm still voting on the "crazy fever dream" theory. I mean, where are Dorothy and Toto, right?. There's no other LOGICAL explanation for the fact that I just saw Serah Michelle Geller on the street. So, okay! Consider my lesson learned! [ Wait, just a moment. Right hand goes over her heart and the left hand goes up in a universal pledge or swear pose. She even closes her eyes. ] No more staying up all night watching Netflix, and definitely NO more pineapple pizza after one in the morning. Can I go home now, please? [ A pause, an inquisitive rise in pitch as she peeks one eye open. ] ... No?
[ Sigh. Hands both drop dejectedly back to her lap as her shoulders slump a little. ] Alright. You can't blame a girl for trying.
On the bright side it doesn't seem like life here will be all that bad, or even boring, at the very least. Dream or not, it'll be pretty interesting to get to talk to everyone. So to my new housemates-- [ She offers a little lopsided grin, then winks. ] Nice to meet you. I'll see you around. [ And then she ends the feed. ]

The door closed quietly behind her. She appreciated finding the room unoccupied. She didn't usually go seeking out time alone but she could use it in this case. She needed some time to digest everything that had happened at a slower pace, pick apart the facts and sort out her feelings beyond shock and disbelief.
She closed the distance to the next best seat and sort of just... flopped down into it with a weary exhale, getting comfortable. One leg went over the arm of the chair, the other rested with her foot on the floor. Her back pressed against the opposite arm and Tony quietly brought a hand up to cover her eyes, middle finger and thumb rubbing at her temples.
Asgard, huh? So she'd wound up in Asgard, or someplace CALLED Asgard. It was fascinating, unbelievable, exciting, and maybe a little terrifying, but mostly fascinating and unbelievable. Asgard was only part of old mythology back home, she couldn't believe there was really a place known as Asgard out in the universe somewhere. To make matters more interesting to her she certainly hadn't expected it to be anything like THIS. There were electronics, computers, fairly modern looking houses (compared to what she would have expected Asgard architecture to look like), and the list went on. Wherever she was now it looked like she'd wound up there alone-- at least in terms of people that she knew personally.
Her hand dropped away to rest with the other on her stomach. It let her stare freely up at the ceiling to ponder her situation. There wasn't much else to do but try to start again, one day at a time. Get to know some of her new acquaintances better and wait like the rest of them for her chance to get back home. If what she'd seen and heard was true then she did want to help, and she even understood why she'd be picked, but...
With how many people inhabit planet Earth I can't seriously be the only person from home that could make a difference here.
She frowned softly, thinking that over.
... Maybe eventually she'd run into someone from home, then, right? She just had to stay optimistic. New people might arrive, someone from home might show up. THAT she could certainly work with. Eventually she'd have to face the very real possibility that they weren't here, but until then she'd just... just rest. Just for a little while.

In terms of relationships with others she believes that her place as a friend is to be support, as a lover to be able to support and defend, as an older sister or eventually a parent to protect and teach while knowing when to step back, and as a daughter and younger sister to
World Info; Not much to say here.
